History

Neon Engineering Inc. was established in Cincinnati Ohio in 1933. The Greenebaum family purchased the company in 1949, and has operated the firm since then. It is currently managed by third generation family members, who take immense pride in the history of NEI.

 

Originally located at the corner of 8th Street and Freeman Avenue in Cincinnati’s West End, the company moved to its current location in Northside on Springlawn Avenue in 1960. A second location was established in urban Atlanta in 1953. This branch moved to Tucker, Georgia outside Atlanta’s I-285 beltway in 1980.

 

Originally a wholesaler and assembler of neon components, the company has evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of the sign industry. From the introduction of plastic sheet and fluorescent lighting to computer generated graphics and design, and now today’s world of LED’s and digital printing Neon Engineering Inc. has been and continues as a valued resource for the sign industry offering outstanding products and unparalleled service at competitive prices.
